Once MovieBloc assigns you as a festival manager, you can build the festival page and add films yourself. This guide walks through the whole process, from starting out to going live.
For festival managersFestival Self-BuilderSep 2026
A festival page comes together in four steps.
Pick a template → fill in the basics → design the page → request publishing. You can save and come back at any point.
1
Pick a template
Decide how your films are laid out
2
Basic info
Festival name, intro and poster
3
Design the page
Add a banner and your films
4

MovieBloc reviews it, then it goes live
Edit on a desktop. A phone screen is too narrow to fit the editing tools. On mobile you can only preview and check status — tapping Edit shows “Editing is available on a desktop browser.”
1Getting started — My Film Fest
Sign in and go to My page → My Film Fest. Only festivals you've been assigned to appear here. You can't create a festival yourself — MovieBloc sets it up and assigns you as manager. If the list is empty, you haven't been assigned yet, so please get in touch.

2Picking a template
This decides how your films are laid out. You can change it later — but if the card shape changes, you may need to prepare different images.
Template
Use it when
List
You don't have many films and want titles with descriptions
Poster grid
You have portrait posters and want them front and center
Tabbed list
Your programme is split into sections — Competition, Invited, Special
Tabbed grid
Split into sections and poster-led
Tabs only appear on the “Tabbed” templates. On List or Poster grid, sections you create won't show as tabs on the page.
3Filling in the basics
Add your festival's name, intro and poster. Korean and English are required before you can publish; Chinese, Japanese and Spanish are optional. Leave an optional language empty and the Korean text is shown instead.

Dates and the page address can't be changed. MovieBloc sets them per your agreement, so they're locked. If they need to change, please get in touch.
4Designing the page
The editor has three parts: blocks on the left, a live preview in the middle, and the editing panel on the right. Pick a block on the left and edit its contents on the right. The middle shows exactly what the audience will see, updating as you type.

Mobile banner 402 × 452 — if you skip it, the desktop image is center-cropped

Each tab can have its own banner. While that tab is open, the tab banner takes the hero's place. So you may see a different image even though you uploaded a hero banner — when that happens, the editing panel tells you “The 〈…〉 tab banner is showing right now”. Tab banners are changed under Tabs & categories.
5Sections (tabs) and categories
If you have a lot of films, or they fall into distinct groups, use tabs. To split things further inside a tab, use categories. Neither one is required.
Tab — a row above the film list (Competition, Invited, Special)
Category — subheadings inside the list (Features, Shorts)
In the Films block of the editor, click Edit tabs & categories to open the window below.

Each tab can have its own banner
Many festivals use a different poster per section. Select a tab, click Banner, and upload one — while that tab is open, this banner takes the hero's place at the top.
Tabs without a banner keep showing the original hero banner
Show the festival name, dates and intro over this banner too — turn it off to show the image alone. If the banner already has a title drawn on it, turn this off so the text doesn't collide. Turning it off also removes the dark cover
Background colour fills the space beside the image
If you uploaded a hero banner but see a different image, the current tab has its own banner. The editing panel says “The 〈…〉 tab banner is showing right now”, and the canvas badge changes to Hero · tab banner.
Each tab can have its own trailer
Click Upload on a tab row to add a trailer, and it plays before the feature for films in that tab. Trailers can only be uploaded after the tab is saved — before that you'll see “Save first, then upload”.
Deleting a tab does not delete its films — they become uncategorized. Leave a category's tab empty and it applies to every tab.
6Adding films
Click + Add a film in the Films block (or the + in an empty slot). There are two ways.

You can fill in the details while the file uploads. Step 2 stays open during the upload, and conversion takes 10–30 minutes. You can keep adding and editing films while it converts.
Images aren't language-specific. Only the title, synopsis and director follow the KO · EN tabs — you upload the poster and stills once.
What you can do with an added film
Hover over a film card to see its buttons.
Button
What it does
Edit info
Change the title, synopsis and images. The video stays as it is
Replace video
Swap only the video file. It's converted again, so it won't play until that finishes
Remove from festival (✕)
Removes it from this festival only. The film itself isn't deleted
Library films (the ones you picked from your own films) work a little differently. They belong to their original owner, so title, images and video are edited in Film management — here you can only remove them from the festival.
7Checks and requesting publication
Anything missing shows under Checks at the bottom left of the editor. Once it's all cleared you'll see Ready to publish, and the Request publishing button becomes available.
What usually comes up
No EN festival name / No EN description — English is required
No poster — it's used in festival lists, search results and share cards
No films added — you can't publish without at least one film
No hero banner
Once you request publishing, the status becomes Awaiting approval, and MovieBloc publishes it after review.
8After it goes live
Editing is locked while the festival is live. A page the audience is viewing shouldn't change mid-edit, since that's hard to undo. If you need changes, ask MovieBloc to unpublish it.
You can still check the real page any time with Go to Film Festival.
9When several people manage one festival
A festival can have more than one manager. If two people edit at the same time, whoever saves last can overwrite the other's work — so we tell you before you go in.
Screen example — Someone else is editing
Someone else is editing this
Hong Gildong has been editing since 2 min ago. If you go in anyway, whoever saves first may lose their work.
CancelEdit anyway
Wait if you can. The lock clears once the other person saves and leaves
If it's urgent, go in with Edit anyway. If saving then conflicts, the screen asks you again before overwriting
The lock clears by itself after a few minutes — nobody stays blocked because someone left a window open
